Book reviews to usher you into the weekend 😌

Happy Friday, Reader!

It's time for some book reviews.

I've got a lot of fiction for you, and a bunch of romance.

One of these books is πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯ set in my town!!!

This is exciting because I live in a very small town on the top of a mountain in Arizona. Betcha didn't know Arizona had mountains. The book is set here. This is way more exciting for me than it should beβ€”on par with getting on the jumbotron at a ball game or somesuch.

Now, onward to the reviews.

The Shell Seekers by Rosamunde Pilcher. A long, luxurious WW2 romance.

True Grit by Charles Portis. A shoot-'em-up with the funniest narrator west of the Mississippi.

The Viscount and the Vicar’s Daughter by Mimi Matthews. A speedy Cinderella romance set in Victorian times.

Son of the Deep by K. B. Hoyle. A reimagining of The Little Mermaid with an amped-up love story.

Hertz Gets Fused by Suzanne Purvis. A middle-grade novel in verse set in a very small town that I may have mentioned.

Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator by Roald Dahl. The worst sequel to a great first book.

Next Level Plot Structure by K. M. Weiland. I'm a junkie for these writing craft books, what can I say?

Meet Rachel Lulich, Sci-fi Fantasy Author

What do a WW2 stage play, a book of poetry, a sci-fi trilogy, and a middle-grade fantasy have in common?

Rachel Lulich! Check out her picture interview, and discover which branch of the military she served in, what flavor makes her gag, and what she’s afraid of.

Plus, plenty of book recommendations.
